To hear Lustmord’s music as loud as it was on this night – and so to experience the full extent of the sub-bass that girds and grounds it – was to realise how inadequate the term “ambient” is to describe it.At times the low-end assault was such that I was hearing the rafters of the building shaking more than I was the actual tones.

Recorded live during his 2011 performance at Darren Bergstein’s One Thousand Pulses concert series in the US, this finds the illustrious Robin Storey, aka Rapoon, building upon a formidable catalog of arch sonic ritualism, feral looping, and ragged, primordial atmospherics. Irruptions, eruptions, and blankets of humid fug surround a truly provocative, alien landscape. With this illustrious recording, Storey’s work continues to tread its own idiosyncratic path.
For 30 years now Robin Storey has been releasing music recognized worldwide as innovative and influential. First as a founder member of the groundbreaking and much lauded band Zoviet France and later as the solo musician and multimedia artist Rapoon.
From 1979-1992 Storey was a co-founder member of Zoviet France, the period during which the band produced what is widely regarded as their most innovative and creative output. From 1992 to the present day Storey has released a huge back catalog of recordings and gained an international reputation as an experimental artist/musician in his own right.
Post-1994 Storey concentrated on his musical output and has to date released well over 70 solo recordings as Rapoon, and numerous other collaborations and side projects including Reformed Faction with Mark Spybey and Hank and Slim with Nigel Ayers.

“Look upon this world of secrets. Look upon this work of demons.”
For the first time ever, the three Crisis singles are officially re-released on Vinyl along with demos from ’77 and ’78 and a simply stunning sounding live set from Norway in 1979. The debut 7″ from 1978 on Action Group Records, ‘No Town Hall’ features three stonewall punk classics. The next two singles ‘UK79′ and ‘Alienation’ make up the four tracks recorded for a John Peel Session in 1978. The lyrics are a product of the time set against a backdrop of street fights with the National Front, violence at gigs, institutional racism within the police force, class division, industrial strife, sexual repression. Upon reflection not much has really changed in the last 35 years! Also included on Side Two are demo tracks from 1977 and 1978 which are raw and basic punk, just as you would expect. They have never been officially released on vinyl before.
Sides Three and Four are a live set recorded when Crisis played Norway in 1979. The performance featured all of the material that later turned up on the ‘Hymns Of Faith’ LP. The sound quality of the recording is very good.
The record comes housed in a tip-on heavyweight sleeve with detailed liner notes, reviews, interviews, and unseen or rarely seen group photos. BLACK VINYL – LIMITED EDITION OF 700.

Online music site musiquemachine.com has named “The Tables Are Turning” by :zoviet*france: their album of the month, and we couldn’t be happier with the honor. Find the review on their homepage through the end of March 2014 (or read it here if you’re coming in later). Then get your own copy of 2xLP or the CD right here at Soleilmoon.
Hi folks, so here we are at the start of a new year, and there’s finally a new website running at Soleilmoon.com. It’s a little rough around the edges, but the basic functionality is there, and over time it’ll improve. Whew! It was a marathon to get it finished, and I’m happy to give a shout-out to the good people at oditech.com over the river in Vancouver USA who set it all up for me. Nice work, all of you. Thank you.
But here’s the part about my disappearing act: I’m LEAVING for a long-planned vacation. Tomorrow. As in, in a few hours. Bad timing? Yeah, it’s bad. But you can still order online, and your order will be processed and shipped to you after I’m back on February 4th. The money you spend here will be put on hold by paypal or your issuing bank, but I won’t actually collect it until I ship your order next month. If for some reason your authorized transaction is declined I’ll contact you and invite you to place your order online again.
