If you mail in an order form with a check or money order you can expect to receive your merchandise about two to three weeks from the day your letter is mailed to us. Please wait at least two weeks before you call asking where your order is. Orders are processed in the order received, but telephone orders receive preference over mailorders. We're sorry, but we do not put items on hold. You can expect to receive an order placed by telephone in about one to two weeks. If you're calling to place an order, please be prepared with a list of what you want, with the five digit item numbers, and have your credit card handy. Requesting UPS 2nd Day Air delivery doesn't give your order priority over others, it only means that it will reach you faster once we've sent it. Please be patient!!
Rush Service: Phone orders (and mailorders with "RUSH" clearly written in the lower left corner of the envelope) will be shipped within 24 hours for an extra $5.00.
If we are shipping to you by UPS read this: A $5.00 fee will be charged to your account if you change the delivery address with UPS after we've shipped your order, so be sure that the address you give is the one you want it shipped to.
Listing alternate selections is considered to be an act of supreme coolness. If you give us options that help us avoid having to send back orders we'll even let you select alternate items that are slighty more expensive than your original choice. That's how cool we think you are for giving us a break.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for records, clothing or printed matter (magazines, books, posters). Our CDs, however, are fully guaranteed. If for some reason you're not completely happy with a CD ordered from this catalog you may return it for credit or a refund within 30 days of purchase, so long as it is still in new condition. You may remove plastic wrap and listen to the CD, of course, but if we think the CD isn't in "new" enough condition Here's what to include with the return: 1) $2.00 handling charge for each item you return; 2) postage for sending your new order. You are responsible for the cost of mailing your return to us. Please package your return carefully! Call first if you need our street address for returns to be shipped via UPS. Returns made via the mail must be sent to our Post Office box. It's a good idea to put a little insurance on your package if you send it by mail. Enclose a note of explaination or instructions letting us know what you want done. Defective merchandise will be replaced without charge for the same item only.
We do not ship orders for free. Refer to the information on this page to calculate the shipping cost for your order. The prices shown here cover both shipping AND handling for your entire order. If you are buying two things and you want them sent by mail to a US address then the cost is $5.00 for the whole order, not $5.00 per item. Please pay with cash, personal check, money order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). If you pay with your credit card we will charge you for insurance (see below). All UPS orders are fully insured. UPS will not deliver to your P.O. Box. Residents of the Pacific Northwest and Northern California requesting UPS 2nd day air delivery are wasting their money; UPS ground service will generally reach you in a day or two.
Canadian customers requesting UPS delivery must provide their daytime telephone number.
Insurance for orders delivered by Mail to US and Canadian addresses is available for an additional $1.00 per $100.00 of insured value and is highly recommended. We like it so much that it's REQUIRED for all orders placed with a credit card. Uninsured orders lost by the Post Office will not be replaced. Customers residing elsewhere will be charged $2.50 for insurance on the first $100.00 and $1.00 per each $100.00 thereafter, up to a maximum value of $500.00. Insurance is not available for orders being sent to Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and all of South America except Brazil. Instead, Registered Mail ($7.50) is available for these countries, providing similar security for your order, subject to certain weight limits. All credit card orders sent to new foreign customers will be sent by Registered Mail.
All foreign payments must be paid in US funds either by Girocheque/International Postal Moneyorder, foreign bankdraft, direct wire depost to our account or in US cash. Credit card payments are of course welcome, but we reserve the right to refuse such orders from new customers; fraudulent use of credit cards is a problem, so we have to be careful. To deposit funds by wire please use sort code 323070380 and account number 2108209434, and include an additional $30.00 to cover fees charged by our bank.
Postage to Mexico: Add 20% to the total cost of your order. If you there's money left over we can credit your account or include a cash refund with the order (tell us which you prefer). If there's not enough money for your postage we will remove something from the order to cover the difference. We charge the exact cost of postage plus insurance (see above), so the amount charged is actually determined by the weight of your order, not by its value. The 20% estimate is merely a guideline.
Postage elsewhere: If you're mailing in your order, please add 25% to the total cost of your order. If you there's money left over we can credit your account or include a cash refund with the order (tell us which you prefer). If there's not enough money for your postage we will remove something from the order to cover the difference. We charge the exact cost of postage plus insurance (see above), so the amount charged is actually determined by the weight of your order, not by its value. The 25% estimate is merely a guideline. We do not hold orders or issue pro-forma invoices for anyone.
