Originally published in 2018 and long sold out, this new edition has been extensively revised and significantly expanded. Alongside numerous corrections and improvements, it features a substantial amount of previously unpublished material, making it by far the most complete overview of Laurence Dupré’s remarkable work. The book traces Dupré’s pioneering career, from her DIY fashion fanzines of the late 1970s and early 1980s exploring camouflage patterns and military garments, to her collages for Sordide Sentimental, her meeting with Genesis P-Orridge in Hackney, and her design work for Throbbing Gristle’s legendary uniforms and visual identity.
Richly illustrated throughout, this revised edition features a new cover showcasing a new camouflage pattern by Laurence Dupré, while retaining the original book design by Loulou Picasso from the Bazooka group. It also includes essays and contributions by Jean-Pierre Turmel (Sordide Sentimental), Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Neville Brody, and Elli Medeiros, alongside a wealth of previously unpublished archival material, newly discovered photographs and exclusive interviews prepared especially for this revised edition.
