MASONNA is one of the early pioneers of Japanese noise music. This CD is the combined re-release of two classic early-era MASONNA albums: “Masonna Vs. Bananamara”, which was the very first vinyl release, originally produced by Vanilla Records / Japan in 1989; “Shinsen Na Clitoris = 新鮮なクリトリス”, the very first CD release, originally produced by Vanilla Records / Japan in 1990. MASONNA’s sound is true harsh Japanoise, always inspired by psychedelic music, and mainly performed using distorted vocals, a unique way to perform Japanoise.
MASONNA is also well known fo his wild live performances which usually consist in damaging his equipment while jumping around and screaming. Concerts often last only few seconds…
